Objective: Team with the most points wins!
Purpose: Review CST vocabulary. Vocabulary is used in the CST release questions for 6th grade.
Materials: Game board of numbered squares
Game pieces (cardstock or scratch) in different colors for each group
Markers, dry erase markers
Tape or post its
Worksheet of definitions with blank spaces (words or definitions or questions)
Game Play: Divide students into 2 -3 groups. Number students. Have students work on game sheet. First group to go gets one question. Student #1 gets first question. Questions then rotate around students. If correct, teacher places game piece over number and group gets 1 point. If incorrect, team loses turn. If 4 in a row, team gets bonus 5 points.
Special features:
Each team can choose a back up opportunity.
Consult- ask group
Clue- teacher provides additional clue
CHAOS- send question to another group, can skip a group if playing with 3 or more.
Game ends: when time runs out or game board is full. Collect worksheets and grade.
